About the piece

One out of a 4 part series of illustrative works, this untitled piece, which is about the introspective conscious, explores a personal interpretative illustration that has come about from my own encounters and experiences. Much of my thought process with this series encompass the idea of how we perceive ourselves in light of the existential realities of what we can see and often fail to see. The conscious moves across the lines between excusing and accusing us, and it's the latter that has the ability to bring us to that point of despair. The series overall is my expression of the different elements that have gone into this theme.
