In the middle of the City of Hamilton, just down the road from the steel factories that define so much of our city and in the middle of winter, amidst the blah that can feel so pervasive—we find a garden.
This indoor tropical garden is a public space. It is a space for the City. By any measure, it is a beautiful space. However, it seems made all the more beautiful by the contrast to the world outside.
I am struck by our call to be different. To be different for the City.
