David Taylor

David Taylor worked as a pastor for twelve years in Austin, Texas. Born and raised in Guatemala City, he studied at the University of Texas, Georgetown University, the University of Würzburg, and Regent College in Canada. He is presently a doctoral candidate at Duke Divinity School. His research interests include the intersection between pneumatology, art and concepts of newness.

Taylor has written for Books & Culture, CIVA Seen, The Living Church, Christianity Today, and recently edited the book For the Beauty of the Church: Casting a Vision for the Arts (Baker Books, 2010). His primary art form is playwriting, though in a future life he will choose to be a modern dancer; that or design fireworks. His wife Phaedra is a gardener, cook and visual artist who teaches art at Goldenbelt Studios.
