Jedd Medefind

Jedd Medefind loves journeying life with his beautiful wife, Rachel, and their four kids—Siena, Marin, Eden and soon-to-be-born Lincoln. They recently moved from their postage stamp of a home on Capitol Hill, sojourning 3,000 miles in a Penske truck to return to family and roots in the Golden State.

Jedd now serves as President of the Christian Alliance for Orphans. The Alliance unites orphan-serving organizations and churches to ignite passion and build excellence for Christ-honouring orphan care, foster youth and adoption ministry. Previously, Medefind served in the White House, leading the Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives. In this role, he guided reform efforts across the government to make the creativity and compassion of community-based nonprofits central in all Federal efforts to aid the needy, from prisoner reentry to Global AIDS. Jedd also held a range of posts in the California State Legislature, and helped establish the California Community Renewal Project, which strengthens nonprofits in some of the state's most challenged communities.

Jedd co-authored Four Souls, which explores questions of faith, purpose, poverty, and community amidst a real-life journey around the globe. His most recent book, The Revolutionary Communicator, examines what it means to live as an apprentice to Jesus in the way we speak, listen and lead.
