Kathryn Streeter

Formerly of Washington DC, Kathryn Streeter resides in London with her family after a short stint in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Her first-persons essays can be found in Weekend, a magazine of the Khaleej Times, an English newspaper serving Dubai and the greater Middle East. Most of her energy, however, is spent homeschooling her children to accommodate a year of international moves.
Streeter has published in local newspapers (Maryland and Virginia), national publications and in Washingtonian, Washington, DC's monthly glossy. When time allows, she continues work on her book, Young Mom Old Town. Streeter's background in literature and creative writing helps her bring what she's seen and experienced to life.
Streeter enjoys Shakespeare and biographies of the American founding fathers, Requiems (Mozart in particular), small dinner parties and walking; she lacks an appreciation for primetime TV, shopping and cold weather. She is currently re-reading The Supper of the Lamb by Robert Farrar Capon.
