Nancy J. Nordenson holds an MFA in creative writing from Seattle Pacific University. Her work has appeared in Harpur Palate, Under the Sun, Relief, and Desert Call, and has received a Pushcart nomination. One of her essays will be included in the forthcoming anthology, The Spirit of Food: 34 Writers on Feasting and Fasting Toward God (Cascade Press, 2010). She is also the author of Just Think: Nourish the Mind to Feed the Soul (Baker, 2004).

By day, she earns her living as a freelance medical writer and has written for a variety of venues including continuing medical education programs, medical journals, reference books, web health sites, advisory groups, and national and international medical symposia. She is currently working on a book about work and transcendence. Nancy and her husband live in Minneapolis and have raised two sons who are making their way in the world.
