‘All-seeing’, ‘nourishing’, and ‘watchful’ are a few of the words that inspired the image of Psalms 1, which is painted using acrylic paint and charcoal. The natural colors represent creation, and the blue moving through the center portrays the idea of water to symbolize God as the provider of all nourishment.
This is the first work of 150 from my series Who Is He? The Names and Character Qualities of God found in the Book of Psalms. Passion and excitement which could only be found in my Savior seemed to fuel the process of the series which began in July 2007 and ended in March 2008. Psalms 1 is now a reminder that God inspired and interacted with me during its entire creation of the series where often times I left a session of creating with more energy than when I began.
Portions of the series are available for exhibit as a traveling show and bookings can be made by contacting Ann at ann@envisiongalleries.com. A book of the whole series and its process is also available.
