Virgin and Christ Adoring

Bead embroidery on fabric and wood

Celebration and contemplation are the themes that run through all my work. I celebrate the joys of life in God's created universe and contemplate the mystery of His revelation in Jesus Christ.

The Bible, symbols and iconography of the church are the inspiration for my work. My media is bead embroidery and collage. The works are small and intimate, meant to speak to the individual and offer time and space for worship, meditation and silence.

In this piece I try to show the love of Mary for her Son and Jesus for His mother.
