Christine Jeske is a professor of Cultural Anthropology at Wheaton college and author of multiple books. She has worked in microfinance, refugee resettlement, community development, and teaching while living in Nicaragua, Northwest China, and South Africa. Her books includeInto the Mud: Inspiration for Everyday Activists,andThis Ordinary Adventure: Settling Down Without Settling.Her current research projects include an ethnographic account of how low-wage and unemployed South Africans seek the good life, and stories of farmers in Southwest Wisconsin.
