Jess Hale, Jr.
A native of West Virginia, Dr. Jess O. Hale, Jr., is an attorney in nonpartisan public service in Tennessee and teaches as an adjunct for Austin Peay State University and Johnson Bible College. He is a member of Eastwood Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Nashville. Currently working in the areas of health care and social policy, and legislative drafting, Jess has also previously served on the staffs of a governor and a US Senator.
Jess graduated from Johnson Bible College (BA), Harvard Divinity School (MTS), the University of Tennessee College of Law (JD) and Duke University (MA, Public Policy Studies). He has published articles in the areas of law and public policy, theological ethics, and the history of the Disciples of Christ.
A stepdad to his wife Rebecca's three children, Jess currently lives in Tennessee in a commuter relationship with Rebecca, who is a regional minister for the Disciples. He also enjoys a glass of wine while metaphorically living and dying with Duke Blue Devil basketball and Baltimore Orioles baseball.Bio last modified April 30th, 2018.
