Andrew Scheer

 

Andrew Scheer is a Canadian Member of Parliament who served as Speaker of the House of Commons from 2011 to 2015. He was elected in 2004 to represent the riding of Regina-Qu'Applle. At age 32, he became the youngest person to serve as Speaker of the House of Commons in Canadian parliamentary history. Scheer studied History and Politics at the University of Ottawa and the University of Regina. For several years prior to 2004, Andrew worked in Ottawa for the Leader of the Opposition, specializing in communications and outreach.

Scheer lives with his wife Jill in Regina where they raise their four children, Thomas, Grace, Madeline, and Henry.
