Dr. Gerry Turcotte has been President and Vice-Chancellor of St. Mary’s University, Calgary, for eight years. He is the author and editor of 15 books including, most recently,Big Things: Ordinary Thoughts in Extraordinary Times(Novalis), andThe History of the Novel in English since 1950: Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the South Pacific(Oxford UP), with Paul Sharrad and C.A.
