Nicole Brouwer

Nicole Brouwer is the principal at North Toronto Christian School, a position she began in 2017.

She has worked as the head of guidance, ESL coordinator, and as a certified classroom teacher since she began teaching in Ontario in 2002. Previously, she taught overseas in Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic, and London, England. She holds a bachelor of arts from Redeemer University, a bachelor of education from the University of Windsor, specialist designations in guidance and in English as a second language through Queen’s University, her principal’s qualifications from Lakehead University, and a professional master of education from Queen’s University. She is currently a doctoral candidate in the education leadership cohort at the University of Western Ontario. Nicole has a passion for learning, enabling student achievement, and the importance of outdoor education and forest school as they intersect with the Ontario curriculum and an authentic Reconciliation experience. She is part the Garden River First Nations band just outside of Sault Ste. Marie. She lives in Barrie, Ontario, with her husband and their two children.
