As believers in Christ, it is difficult to determine our relationship to the culture. Are we to engage in it or separate ourselves from it? I see my role like that of a water plant. I am deeply rooted in the bedrock of the God's truth as my leaves and petals are out in the open of society. Although I may be affected by the ripples of culture, I am not carried away by its current. Because of this centeredness, a safe haven is created for others. Just as fish seek shelter from stable plants, I hope people feel safe with me because of Christ's presence creating this stability within.

Ann is a native and current resident of Nebraska, who has been immersed in the art world for as long as she can remember. From a young age, she enjoyed nature and was creative, which led her to follow this love through high school and college. She works out of her home studio / laundry room and, if not painting, can be found outside playing with her boys, taking photos, or serving in the arts ministry at her church.
