Presented from a Roman Catholic perspective, podcasters Travis Callaway and Rigel Raju dive into research that exposed a significant gap between Canadian Christians’ personal beliefs and church teachings across various denominations.
“Belief in the resurrection of Jesus Christ as a historical event is held by 81% of evangelicals, 48% of Catholics, and and 55% of Mainline Protestants,” Callaway noted. “Let’s focus on the seeming lunacy of 50% of all non-evangelical Christians, specifically Catholics, believing in the resurrection of Jesus as a historical event. I just want to ask: what are you doing, if you don’t believe that happened? What is this all for, if that didn’t happen?”
