Daniel Proussalidis is Director of Media & Public Relations at Cardus.
Daniel brings more then 16 years of experience in journalism to his role at Cardus, where he now leads strategic communications and media relations initiatives. His journalism career included serving as a parliamentary correspondent in Ottawa and later as a news director at a national newsroom in Toronto, where he oversaw editorial direction and news coverage across Canada.
Transitioning from the newsroom to the world of communications, Daniel served as director of communications in the Office of the Minister of National Defence before coming to Cardus. Today, he draws on his deep expertise in media, storytelling, and public affairs to develop compelling narratives and effective messaging that advance Cardus’s mission and increase its visibility.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Environment & Resource Management from the University of Toronto, a Broadcasting diploma from Seneca College, and certificate in Strategic Public Relations from the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies.
