Canada’s national childcare program is proving to be a disappointment for most parents across the country. Alberta recently saw a protest over the rollout of the Canada-wide Early Learning and Child Care plan. Ontario is seeing daycares leave the $10-a-day program. British Columbia is failing to meet space-creation targets and the list goes on. Andrea Mrozek, a Cardus senior fellow, joined Bridge City News to explain what’s gone wrong and how to fix it.
