Do we know what Canadians think about women’s issues and how they connect to politics, culture and family? Angus Reid Forum asked questions about these subjects. If one theme emerges it is diversity. Neither men nor women are easily categorized on a host of issues facing women in Canada in 2017. Some of these questions address current events. Others step back and examine the bigger picture. Either way, Canadians cannot be put in one easy box.

Our Moderator:

TASHA KHEIRIDDIN is a writer, broadcaster, and political analyst from Toronto, Canada. Named one of Canada’s 100 Most Powerful Women in 2016 by WXN, she is the host of the daily radio program The Tasha Kheiriddin Show on AM640.

Our Panelists:

VERONIQUE BERGERON is a technical writer, the mother of nine children and has a degree in Civil Law from the University of Ottawa and a Master’s degree in Law from McGill University.

SHANNON JOSEPH is a civil engineer, a municipal sustainability expert, fashion enthusiast and recreational opera singer.

HELEN REIMER has worked for Proctor and Gamble in sales, the joining Christians Against Poverty (CAP) in the UK. She later pioneered CAP in Canada, which launched in Hamilton in 2013.

DEANI NEVEN VAN PELT is a mother of three. Formerly a high school teacher and a homeschool parent, she earned her PhD, became a professor and is now a think tanker.
