To save small charities that serve the vulnerable, Ottawa must match donations

"In a poll conducted last month, Canadians said they'd not only be more likely to give, but would give more, if the government matched their donations."

"It’s always the most vulnerable who get hit the hardest in crises, and the pandemic is no different. As the demand for social services and charities has gone up because of COVID, donations have gone down, and small charities have been among the hardest hit. The government and all Canadians need to work together to ensure that the most vulnerable, and the charities that serve them, don’t get washed away by the second wave of this COVID crisis."
