She has engaged in a variety of fields over the years, including teaching elementary school, cost/production estimating for a print company, affiliate marketing and website design, and motherhood, which she says is both the hardest and best job of them all. Marlaine enjoys being actively involved at her children’s school, volunteering in different capacities and up until joining Cardus, also supply teaching there.

Marlaine has called Hamilton home for over a decade now, but grew up close by in Burlington. In her free time, she likes to read, go for walks, cook, and spend time with her husband Dave and their two children.
