A dual citizen of Mexico and Canada, she was born and raised in Williams Lake, BC. Her interests are wide-ranging—from philosophy to cooking, human rights to vinyl records—and reflect a deep curiosity about people and the world around her.

She holds a BA (Honours) in Philosophy with a focus on Human Rights. At the heart of Monica’s work is a passion for community and creating spaces where people can connect meaningfully. She is driven by the belief that bringing people together—whether for dialogue, celebration, or shared experience—can be transformative.

This passion extends well beyond her professional role. In her free time, Monica is often planning and hosting gatherings. When she’s not working or hosting, she can be found biking, writing, or savouring the ‘in-between’ moments of life.
