Memo: Considerations for Bill C-218 on Permanently Pausing the Expansion of MAiD for Mental Disorders

Cardus is writing this memo in support of Bill C-218, which seeks to permanently pause the expansion of MAID to those whose sole underlying medical condition is mental illness. The expansion would undermine suicide prevention efforts and exacerbate the vulnerability of particular groups such as First Nations or people with disabilities.
